DIY Friday: Pink Hair Fail

Ok, so I might need pink hair tech support after all - my attempt at subtle pink highlights was a big, fat flop.

Was it me, or the product? Hard to say. All I know is, my attempts with Kool Aid in high school met with better success than the bona-fide professional product. Alas, I couldn't locate the precise photographic evidence, but my friends Deanna and Glynis could corroborate:

Well, there's always Kool Aid. And attempt #2...
So while I'm working on the big CREED revision (and because I'm pretty sure you're all totally sick of seeing my TELL ME A SECRET cover...no, wait, are you?? ok, fine...), I have a cool fall blog series making its debut next week. Stay tuned for truly tasty treats from your favorite authors! Happy weekend!

  1. I don't think I'm ever going to get sick of that cover... just wish it were in my hot little hands (attached to the finished book, of course)!

  6. I just googled "permanent pink hair dye" the other day, to try and get the pink, purple etc. back in my hair without salon prices. Then I saw your blog! We have pink on the brain. I think the pinks etc. don't work well without some bleaching first. I'll let you know how the "RAW" brand of purple works.

  7. I wish I could see your pink hair attempt. I went to Laini and Jim's event last Monday and was completely taken with Laini's locks.

  8. Me, too! Sadly, it washed out faster than Koolaid, lol. I might try again this weekend...
