Whew, I can finally talk about Mitali Perkins and her new book, Secret Keeper, just released!
And I promise, it's been worth the wait - Secret Keeper is beautiful, haunting, funny, and satisfying. Even more, I felt like it was a window into my own family - my husband's parents left India during the same time this novel takes place and navigated many of the same issues. Mitali brings her characters to life with vivid cultural details and universal desires.
