Yesterday was a happy day, getting to meet Mitali Perkins - author and readergirlz talent scout. I've gotten to know her a little through her blog, readergirlz, and Secret Keeper, and it was even better to get to meet her in person with the readergirlz troupe!

Lots of people asked about the Indian pudding I made, so here is the recipe:
ABAN AUNTIE's RAVA
1 Tb Quick Cream of Wheat (or Rice, if you're gluten-free)
2 quarts half and half
1.5 cups sugar
Mix together in a large pot, slow cook until thick. Add:
1/2 tsp cardamom
Continue to simmer until very thick (~ 1-2 hours) - careful not to cook too hot, or it will caramelize. Pour into lidded container and sprinkle with sliced almonds. Refridgerate overnight. Enjoy!
