Olivia Crashes the Holiday Treats Feature

Nana and Papa have been sending little pre-Christmas treats for You-Know-Who, including the OLIVIA Cookie Kit.

So we made some! The sugar cookie and frosting recipes are quite tasty. YKW and I recommend crushing up some peppermint candy to sprinkle on top.

Even if you don't have the OLIVIA Cookie Kit, you can make tasty frosted sugar cookies.

1/3 c butter
1/3 c shortening
3/4 c sugar
1 tsp baking powd
dash salt
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour

Beat butter and sugar in a mixer. Add sugar, BP, and salt and beat until combined. Beat in egg and vanilla. Beat in flour. Divide in half, cover, and chill if necessary (we chilled about 1/2 hour). Roll half of dough until it is 1/8" thick. Use Olivia cookie cutter to shape dough into fantastic Olivia shapes! Bake at 375F for 7-8 mins. Cool, then frost!

1/2 stick butter (softened)
1.5 c conectioners' sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 Tb milk
food coloring

Cream butter and sugar at low speed. Add extract, then milk a little at a time until it reaches desired consistency. Add color, if desired! Store in an airtight container.

  1. we made frosted cookies too. But she would have loved Olivia cookies. Good thought for her bday coming up. :)

  2. These are so awesome! I had no idea this was available. YKW has some wicked cool g-parents.
