I Feel Loved

(Click on the playlist for blog soundtrack - friend Kasson Crooker's super-cool Symbion Project remix of Depeche Mode's I Feel Loved...yum)

I do feel loved! By Justina Chen Headley, who, from the far reaches of Shanghai, has nominated my blog for the I Love Your Blog Award!

Thank you, Justina! I love your blog, too! For those who don't know Justina, she is spending the school year in Shanghai, China to write, blog, and adventure with her husband and kids. Her blog (and her books) are really fascinating, so I'm honored to be read by her.

Now, to pass it on:
1. Add the logo of your award to your blog
2. Add a link to the person who awarded it to you.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Add links to those blogs on your blog.
5. Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.

My picks for the I Love Your Blog Award:

The Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar - funny bad grammar and Martha Brockenbrough's new book, Things That Make Us [Sic]!

Not for Robots - you already know I love this writing blog by luminary fantasy author, Laini Taylor.

Bildungsroman by Little Willow - is it even possible that I am the first to nominate her amazing book review/interviews/general coolness blog? Or mayhaps she is just to modest to post it?

Chompoblog by Jaime Temairik - I met Jaime in an illustration class long ago, and I still haven't stopped being amazed and amused by her art.

Miss Erin - another luminous soul in the world of children's books. I am in awe that she lives her dreams while struggling with chronic illness. She is an inspiration to me as I live with mine.

Seize the Day by Molly Blaisdell - I've been in the writing trenches with Molly for a long time, and I look to her for wisdom and hope. Someday her name will be as revered as Madeleine L'Engle - take note.

Antinomia by Linda Wingerter - Linda is my favorite illustrator ever. Her work...is breathtaking. I have been fortunate enough to buy a few of her paintings and painted heart sculptures from afar while wishing I knew her personally. Someday, I hope! It's my secret dream (well, not so secret now) to someday have a book illustrated by her.

Now I am off to let them know of my adoration.

  1. Oh, Holly - thank you. Really. You have no idea how much that means to me for you to say that.

  2. Thank you so much, Holly! :)
