First Wil Wheaton, now...Judy Blume!

My run ins with celebrities just got a whole lot racier - Judy Blume stopped by the University Bookstore in Seattle to talk about her newest book, Soupy Saturdays with The Pain and The Great One, and to have a photo op with Cathy Benson, Sara Easterly, and me (eyes shut in total flummoxation):

The best part was getting to thank Judy personally for the SCBWI Contemporary Novel Work in Progress Grant, which she sponsors. (Thank you again, Judy!) She wrote down Brimstone Soup, and I hope one day to send her a copy!

  1. Wow, awesome Holly! I think the universe is shaped in such a way that we are always able to say thank you when it's really important.

Keep writing! Notes are coming soon.

  2. Thanks for your comment, Holly! Now we're WIP Grant Sisters! :-)

Now I've got to check out your blog and find out more about your book.

    ~ Amber

  3. What a fantastic opportunity! Judy was my all-time fav when I was growing up. Too cool.
